Who I Am
I am a Myrtle Beach–based artist working primarily in oil. My paintings are rooted in memory—the people, places, and moments that stay with us long after the details begin to fade.
I’m drawn to the space between realism and impressionism, where a painting can feel familiar without explaining everything. Whether I’m painting a portrait, a quiet coastal scene, or a moment pulled from another time, I’m less interested in recreating a photograph than capturing how that moment felt.
Much of my work is influenced by the light, atmosphere, and confident brushwork of artists such as John Singer Sargent, Édouard Manet, and Berthe Morisot, while still reflecting my own experiences and surroundings along the South Carolina coast.
Through original paintings and commissioned work, my goal is simple: to create art that feels personal, timeless, and lived in—something that doesn’t just record a moment, but keeps a piece of it alive.
What I Do
I create original oil paintings and commissioned works that turn meaningful moments into lasting pieces of fine art. My work ranges from intimate portraits and family commissions to coastal scenes, nostalgic imagery, and larger statement pieces.
Rather than simply reproducing a photograph, I look for the emotion behind it—the light, atmosphere, gesture, and small details that make a memory personal. Through expressive brushwork and a balance of realism and impressionism, I aim to create paintings that feel both familiar and timeless.
For commissioned work, I collaborate closely with each client to develop the composition, mood, and scale of the painting, creating a one-of-a-kind piece designed to be lived with, passed down, and remembered.
