Studio Notes - A little piece of Ocean Annie’s history

There are certain places that become more than just places. They become part of people’s memories. For a lot of us who have spent summers in Myrtle Beach, Ocean Annie’s happens to be one of those places.

I recently created a new Ocean Annie’s poster inspired by the look and energy of a vintage 1970s era poster. I wanted it to feel like something you might have discovered hanging outside a beach bar decades ago—sun-faded, a little nostalgic, and unmistakably Ocean Annie’s.

It also brings together two parts of my life that don’t always overlap: my work as an artist and my work/long connection to Ocean Annie’s. Rather than make this an unlimited reproduction, I decided to keep the edition small. Only 25 signed and numbered 18×24 prints will be produced.

The limited-edition prints are currently available for $65 during the presale.

For me, this poster isn’t just about Ocean Annie’s as it looks today. It’s about the summers, music, beach days, friendships, and memories that have accumulated there over the years.

Hopefully, it feels a little like that to you too.
